Epcot’s World Showcase is one of the most exciting and interesting places in all of Walt Disney World! You can travel to 11 different countries in one day! As you travel through the showcase, you feel immersed into a different culture with every country that you go to. They do a really great job at making you feel as if you are in a different country, even if you are only steps away from the last country. The atmosphere is unbelievable, and the music they play give off the impression you are walking in the streets of a foreign land. They even hire employees from the different countries to really make it feel like you are there! There are endless possibilities to what you can do in this wonderful World Showcase, but we are here to tell you about some of our favorite things to do when “traveling around the world”!

France

As we have stated before, France is our absolute favorite country in the World Showcase. Just as you feel in every country, you feel like you are walking the streets of Paris. If you look behind everything, you can even see the Eiffel Tower! We have spent a lot of our time in the World Showcase in France, so we have some favorite locations! “L’ Artisan Des Glaces” Ice Cream Shop is the hidden gem. Curled up behind all of the shops is this little ice cream shop that will blow your mind. They have unbelievable treats that will be more than satisfactory to your taste buds! Each year I have been there I have gotten the same thing. If it’s not broken don’t fix it, right? My favorite thing to get is the “Apple cinnamon crumble ice cream”. It’s essentially apple pie ice cream with chunks of apple cinnamon and cinnamon crumble. It is the best ice cream flavor I have ever tasted, and I will never go back to the world showcase without having it! Jenna has gotten the same thing 2 years in a row as well. Her favorite treat is the “Strawberry macaron ice cream sandwich”. I have tried it, and it’s crazy delicious as well. It’s so good that she doesn’t even want to share with me! When in France you have to go to “L’ Artisan Des Glaces”, you will not be sorry!

Another really great place go in France is “Les Chefs De France”! If you’re looking for a big meal to fill you up, this is the place! We had never eaten french cuisine before, so I really didn’t know what to expect. All I knew was I wanted to try something completely different. I will say, the bread they bring you is SO good, so it’s hard to stop eating. If you could restrain yourself from scarfing down 2 loafs, you will be glad you did because the food is GREAT! We started off with french onion soup, and if you are a fan, you have to get this. Hands down, the best french onion soup I have ever eaten in my life! It does make sense, considering it is being made by someone actually from france. After soup, we had wonderful meals. I wanted to go outside the box, so for the first time in my life, I ate duck! I did not know what to expect, but after trying it, I loved it! In fact, I want to go back to this place during our next trip, just so i can get it again. Jenna on the other hand, Isn’t the most adventurous eater, so she got the mac and cheese. Yes, i know, it seems like a choice a picky eating 5 year old would make, but she really liked it too! All in all, this place is so delicious and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. If you’re strolling through France, do yourself a favor and eat at “Les Chefs De France”!

Mexico

Mexico is a really fun place to walk around and just look at everything. There’s so many interesting aspects to this country in Epcot, you must take some time out of the day to just stroll around. It especially looks amazing at night time. This is how we stumbled into “La Cantina de San Angel”. We were walking around the showcase, and decided we needed some food and just happened to be right by “La Cantina de San Angel”. Little did we know that this place is decievingly delicious. Though it may look like a plain quick service restaurant, the food is quite tasty. The location is great as well. It’s located right by the water, and at nighttime, it looked really nice. I decided to go with chicken tacos and Jenna decided to go with the nachos. If you’re looking for something not too heavy on the stomach, I would recommend the tacos. When walking through Mexico, stop by “La Cantina de San Angel”! It’s a sneaky hidden gem, that you wont regret going to!

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom in the world showcase is so interesting because it’s not just one country, it’s actually 3. In this part of the World Showcase, you enter England, Scotland, and Ireland. There’s some really great shops too. A few years ago when we went, I bought a beer glass from England, and I still use it every time I have myself a nice cold brew. Not only are the shops super interesting, but the food is great too. We have never eaten at a table service restaurant here, but we will never go through the United Kingdom without getting fish and chips from “Yorkshire Country Fish Shop”! These are fish and chips like you have never tried before! They are battered heavy and crisped to perfection. They are so extremely delicious. If you go through the United Kingdom and don’t get these…then you are missing out on one of the tastiest meals in all of Disney World! Another plus side, is that if you are on the disney dining plan, you can use a quick service credit on it!
