When you plan a Disney world vacation, it is important to make your dining reservations ahead of time. Especially when coming to a place as popular as Le Cellier. Le Cellier is located in the Canada Pavilion in Epcot.

Donny and I do loads of research before we book a restaurant reservation. We look at the menu, we read other reviews, etc. The main things we heard about this restaurant were that it is two things: Expensive, and delicious.

Both are true. But there is more to this restaurant than those two things. I’m going to tell you everything I know about this restaurant, and what we personally thought of it.

First I’m going to start with the Atmosphere of this restaurantLe Cellier is described as a “Cozy Cellar of Canadian Chateau.” Quite honestly I can’t tell you what that means, but what I can tell you is that this is a pretty dark/dim restaurant. I think they do this to create more of a wine cellar feel. I wouldn’t quite describe it as “cozy” though, just because some of the tables are so close to each other you almost feel like you’re eating dinner with the people next to you. I could hear the whole conversation of the family next to me. Don’t let that stop you from coming here, though. Trust me, the food makes it all worth it.

The food at Le Cellier is outstanding. The menu isn’t huge, but not too small. They’ve got about 7 different entrees, a decent amount of appetizers, meal enhancements such as poutine, and desserts as well. First you will start out with a basket of bread and butter. There is pretzel bread (which was AMAZING), sourdough, and some other kind. For my appetizer I ordered the Cheddar Cheese Soup because I heard great things about it. Let me tell you, dipping the pretzel bread in the Cheddar Cheese Soup was a whole new version of heaven. For my entrée I ordered the Filet Mignon. The Filet Mignon sat on top of a bed of mushroom risotto. I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t know if I would like the mushroom risotto, but it was the best part of my meal. It was absolutely incredible. When I got my Filet Mignon my first thought was “wow this is small” but my eyes are always bigger than my stomach. After the bread, appetizer and the risotto, the filet was a perfect size. Unfortunately we did not get dessert this time, but I had a lot of interest in the Maple Crème Brulee.


Unfortunately, the service wasn’t as amazing as our food. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t terrible. We were called into the restaurant way later than our reservation time, though. When we went to check in, they said to stick around and they will call us in soon, which took about 35-40 minutes.  Our waitress was very nice and sweet though. She checked on us regularly and always gave us refills without us asking. Not the best service, but definitely not the worst.

I stated before that the cost of this restaurant was a problem with some people. Yes, it is expensive. With a tip, our dinner was $155.00. If you have the dining plan, it will count as two sit down meal credits. Do I think this restaurant could have been a bit less expensive? Yes I do, but we really enjoyed ourselves, so I think it was worth it. If you are plan to have a really nice dinner one night on your vacation, I think this is the place for sure.
